In Remembrance of Calvin Lowder
August 30, 1941 – November 23, 2023
Our beloved Pastor “Cal” went to be with OUR Heavenly Father on Thanksgiving Day. Although we are sad for family and friends, we rejoice as believers in his hope and faith in Jesus Christ. This is not the end, it is the end of the beginning. As a church we give thanks for his testimony and life of service to God! We encourage all to come to know the peace that Pastor Cal knew.
Pastor Calvin Lowder “Emeritus” was born in Oak Hall Station, PA in 1941. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1966. He was ordained in 1967 through North Shore Church and Altoona Bible Church and has been affiliated with the Grace Gospel Fellowship since that time. He received his BS degree from Liberty University. He was married to the former Judy Franzen for 56 years and they have 4 children and 11 grandchildren AND one great grandchild! Pastor Cal was in the ministry for nearly 60 years serving churches in Chicago, IL., Muskegon, MI., Beloit, WI., Mobile, AL. and for the past 34 years was one of our pastors here at Valley Bible Church in Stephens City, VA.
